Product details

Disc thermocouples are widely used in fire testing of building components. Our standard models are based on twin single-strand Type K conductors, 0.35 mm diameter x 2.5 m length, mounted diametrically opposite each other on the foil. The wiring is insulated with fiberglass (optional: high-temperature silicone oversleeve), with termination via a flat plug connector.

Available in two versions:

 

  • Semi-rigid copper foil: 12 mm diameter, 0.2 mm thickness, which can be glued or cemented. Temperature resistance >+650°C;

 

  • Flexible Kapton® (polyimide) foil: 12 mm diameter, 0.14 mm thickness, removable self-adhesive disc with no residue. Maximum continuous temperature resistance of +260°C (maximum peak temperature of +300°C).

Instruments are compliant with standard EN 1363-1 & -2 "Fire resistance tests".
